We present Das Badisches Zupforchester, a world-touring mandolin and guitar orchestra from Germany, in concert with members of the Society on Friday 9 June 2017 at 19:30 at Heworth Methodist Church, Heworth Village, York, YO31 1AE..
Also performing will be York’s well-known classical guitarist John Mackenzie in duet with the world-famous Paul Sparks on mandolin.
Entry FREE of charge - but 'retiring donations' are most welcome.

Dear Fellow Guitarist,
Please find enclosed some information about the 2017 edition of the City of Derry Guitar Festival, 25-27 August, in the historical walled city of Derry~Londonderry in Ireland's North West. We thought this might be of interest to your members and I would be most grateful if you could forward this information to them.
This year’s festival features tuition all day on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 August, with the concert series starting on Friday 25 August. The Classical Guitar course will be held by an all female line-up featuring Wiktoria Szubelak, Dominika Bialostocka and Isabel Martinez and will include workshops, individual masterclasses and a guitar ensemble. Alongside the full weekend course we will also offer two half day workshops: Flamenco Guitar and Arabic Oud with Amir-John Haddad. Electric Guitar and Ukulele weekend courses are also available.
